 ansas Web provides the two main types of Web Servers used for Internet web hosting.
A SiliconGraphics Indy UNIX web server running the Netscape Commerce Server software is available for the traditional UNIX web uses. The Indy also hosts most of the e-mail domains and acts as a high-speed DNS system.
A Windows NT 4.0 network server, Bob, running Microsoft IIS 4.0 and MS FrontPage Extensions is available. Bob runs the round-the-clock site monitoring programs and a router information system that collects performance data on all of the routers connected to our system. Bob also runs a Back-Office-Billing system designed to help support our Internet Service Provider clients with subscriber billing and maintenance tasks.
